As a first generation immigrant living in the UK, I witnessed first hand the challenges my family faced taking care of our grandmothers health back in Congo, Kinshasa. The sleepless nights not knowing if she was getting the right care at the right time, impacted our family physically, mentally and financially. Over the years, I've encountered countless complaints of the exact same struggle from diasporas from across Africa.
